Jagdish Sheth
Jagdish Sheth

Dr. Jagdish Sheth is a renowned scholar and world authority in the field of marketing. His insights on global competition, strategic thinking and customer relationship management are considered revolutionary. Dr. Sheth is the Charles H. Kellstadt Chair of Marketing in the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Prior to this, he was a distinguished faculty member at the University of Southern California, the University of Illinois, Columbia University and the Massachussetts Institute of Technology.  Professor Sheth has published more than 200 books and research papers in different areas of marketing and business strategy. Steven J. Bandrowczak is Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Nortel.

Bandrowczak is responsible for Nortel′s information technology strategy and operations, leading the Information Services group, and overseeing Nortel′s internal network infrastructure, business applications and data security. Bandrowczak will lead Nortel′s IT department, leveraging the breadth of the Company′s own technology and networking capabilities to transform business networks, remove barriers to efficiency, productivity and growth and create opportunities for new revenues and services. Prior to joining Nortel, Bandrowczak served as CIO for Lenovo Group, a global producer of PC products and value-added professional services. At Lenovo, he helped lead the company through the initial stages of its $11 billon IBM spin-off in 2005, enacting a 24-month plan to build the company′s IT infrastructure. His experience also includes serving as executive vice president and worldwide CIO for DHL Worldwide, a global market leader in the international express and logistics industry. Previously, he spent 14 years with Avnet in a variety of IT roles, culminating as CIO for the electronics distributor. In 2004, Bandrowczak was named one of the Top 100 CIO′s by Computerworld. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Long Island University, C.W. Post and is based at Nortel′s New York office.



Gad J. Selig, PMP, COP
Dr. Gad J. Selig is the Director, MS in Technology Management and Dual Graduate Business/Engineering/Technology Degree Programs at the University of Bridgeport.

He teaches graduate courses in Business Strategy, Marketing (including Internet Marketing), Information Technology, Global Program and Project Management, Entrepreneurship, New Product Development and Commercialization, Strategic Sourcing and Outsourcing, Leadership and Managing Change and Organizational Development/Managing Change. He has authored three books and over 50 articles. Dr. Selig is also the Managing Partner and founder of GPS Group, Inc., a consulting, research and education firm that focuses on strategic marketing and growth, business and technology transformation, new product development/product management, IT strategy and governance, program/project management and strategic sourcing issues and opportunities. He is a member of the Academy of Management, Academy of Business Administration, and Society for Information Management (SIM), Project Management Institute (PMI), IAOP, ISACA and the Connecticut Technology Council. He holds a Top Secret Clearance with the Federal Government.

Subbu Murthy
Dr. Subbu Murthy is an innovative and hands-on C-Level Executive, with over 25 years of diverse work experience. He has established IT initiatives aligned with business objectives and implemented technology and business processes that provide true competitive advantage. As a CIO, he was involved in general and technical management, marketing, strategic/tactical planning, business/product development, operations management and Fortune 500 contract/joint venture negotiations. Dr. Murthy has helped private equity firms acquire small to medium sized businesses by providing an in-depth assessment of business processes and technology. Dr. Murthy has consistently innovated, engineered, developed and marketed technology that provides true value to business. Backed by strong academic credentials, 15 years C-level executive and 10 years application development experience, he has produced successful high quality software applications and products that span the supply side, ERP and customer facing applications built on data warehouses, EAI and analytics.

Suman Taneja

Mr. Suman Taneja has over 40 years of executive and consulting experience with public and private sector enterprises. Suman has successfully managed complex multi-million dollar projects in education, healthcare, utility, distribution, state and local government and financial services industries. He has worked with large enterprises (such as Beneficial Corporation, City of New York, Lucent Technologies, Viacom) as well as with mid-market and startup companies in the areas of IT strategy, global resourcing and BPO (Business Process Outsourcing), software development, ERP implementation, and business process re-engineering. 

Suman worked with IBM Corporation for over 30 years, starting as a programmer and rapidly rising through the ranks of systems engineering manager, marketing manager, project executive to the position of Partner in IBM Business Consulting Services leading a regional consulting practice. During his career at IBM, Suman led various quality circles focused on process and customer service improvements. He won various distinguished awards at IBM for excellence in customer service, productivity improvements and team building. These awards which are given to a select group of IBMers include the Customer Campion Award, National Director of the IBM Achiever’s Forum, Project Management Excellence Award and Professional Leadership Award. 

Suman has frequently presented to large groups on technical as well as business topics. He is currently overseeing a multi-year projects aimed at transforming the administrative processes at a large University.

In its role of an institution builder, NASSCOM has fostered the development of NASSCOM Foundation, Data Security Council of India and National Institute of Smart Government (NISG).  Som assumed office of the President, NASSCOM in January 2008. Mr.Gustavo Pares is the CEO of one of the top Consulting firms in Mexico and active advocate for the use of  IT as a strategy for the development of Latin America.  Gustavo has worked on several projects for companies such as Amercian Express, ING, Nestlé, L´Oréal.  He has worked as an advisor for the  Mexican Government in Baja California Norte.  He has implemented several projects in Latin America to promote  the use of IT in Small and Mediums Sized companies – this resulted in more than 345 companies in Mexico, Chile, Peru, Venezuela and Argentina implementing free ERP systems to improve their competitiveness.

In terms of participation in international conferences, Mr. Gustavo was Local Arrangements Chair for the 10th Annual World Conference of the Global Information Technology Management Association (GITMA) held in Mexico City, Mexico in June, 2009; Track Chair for the 9th Annual GITMA World Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia, in June 2008; and an Invited Panelist at the 8th annual GITMA world conference held in Naples, Italy in July 2007.

Mr. Pares is professor and researcher at the Tech of Monterrey and was nominated in 2007 as of the best professors of the year. Professor Pares has published more than 50 articles and research papers in wel l known magazines, websites, and newspapers around the world published by IGI Global, MSDN, Code Guru, Information Week, El Economista, Consultoría Empresarial, Microermpesa Mexicana, Netmedia, El financiero among others.  He is also a contributing author for the book on, “Software Process Improvement for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises,” edited by Hanna Oktaba, IGI Publishing, 2008.

Sankaran P. Raghunathan When firms call themselves global what they mean is that their operations are global; for, how can an American firm call itself an American global firm which is an oxymoron in terms. Dr.Raghunathan argues that for a firm to be truly global, it should also be owned globally. Over the past decade, this issue of global ownership and, thus, the global citizenship of firms have dominated his work. His empirical work on ownership strategies of multinational corporations is an attempt to understand the experiments of firms as they go about creating their global network of subsidiaries.

Dr. Raghunathan has presented papers at various conferences internationally and his articles on foreign investment policy issues have appeared in popular newspapers in the US and India. His expertise lies in the strategic management of multinational corporations, issues related to ownership of overseas subsidiaries, and foreign trade and investment policies. His research has implications for corporate executives and national policy makers.

Dr. Raghunathan earned his doctoral degree from Temple University, Philadelphia. After his undergraduate degree in Commerce and a degree in Law from the University of Madras, he also graduated with a MBA degree from XLRI, India. He has had various stints in the industry; having worked for four years in Banking; he shifted to the Information Systems industry. His entrepreneurial inclinations since his youth have led to successful efforts, the latest being an information systems and international business consulting firm in the US with its subsidiary in India. He is also active on the academic front and teaches at The Emory University in Atlanta, US.

Dr. Raghunathan's interests include farming, table tennis, ideation, and discussing futures.

Anita is a systems thinker who emphasizes the importance of gaining knowledge and building relationships to achieve success. She has over 18 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies across the world managing strategic quality and project management initiatives. Anita has successfully planned and implemented project office, training, and process improvement strategies for organizations to achieve SEI’s CMM, Levels 2 and 3. Anita is an Adjunct Professor at New York University and Long Island City University for the Project Management Certification program. She has served on the Board of Directors of both the NYC and Westchester PMI chapters.
